January Judgment 2015 and Iron Pineapple Points update

Happy New Year, folks! Happy to report that this year is off to a healthy start despite quite possibly having eaten my weight in chocolate, cheese, and confectioner's sugar over the holidays. #SorryNotSorry

Onto the updates!

This bear is not hibernating.
My workplace does this challenge every January called the "January Judgment" where we're challenged to gain or lose the most weight in 1 month. It's mostly a fun way to motivate us to not overindulge during the cold months when all you want to do is hibernate and eat high-calorie foods. I'm certainly guilty of this!

The downside to January Judgment is that folks at the office get pretty competitive, and so they will totally sabotage your efforts through delicious offerings that just magically appear in the break room (that is, in addition to the generous hobby-bakers in our office that bestow tasty treats). So far, we've seen tons of candy, cupcakes, cakes, cookies, chocolates, homemade breads, but no donuts or bagels (so at least there's that!.

Exhibit B: The pile of earnables & the official points tally.

But, alas! In spite of the treacherous work territory, I have remained diligent to continue earning as many food, extra exercise, and Rx/PR points as possible in an effort to get my next pair of Lululemon shorts by Valentine's day. I mean, I have to have something to look forward to for that holiday other than chocolates and ice cream, am I right?

We're also doing a gym-wide challenge at CFBC called the whole life challenge, and I have to admit that the added accountability of having to report my points in a public way has certainly helped me earn a lot more food points for the IPPS than pre-holidays.

I just passed the halfway point tonight. Soon, gray shorts, soon...
